Organizing My Closet

Posted by admin in Uncategorized on January 16th, 2012 |  No Comments »

Oh why must the weekend go by so fast?  Sometimes I wish that the time would slow down.  It has been a pretty busy weekend for me.  Besides the usual cleaning around the home, I tried to organize my wardrobe.  There are some clothes which I have not worn for over a year and I think it is time for me to give them away.  My closet is looking a wee bit better now but I wish it looks like the one below.

Tops Which Hide Flabby Arms

Posted by admin in Uncategorized on January 12th, 2012 |  No Comments »

I would love to wear short sleeves in the summer given the warm weather.  However my arms are flabby and I do not feel good wearing sleeves that are short.  Cap sleeves make my arms look big too.  I can never wear tank tops.  Tops with three quarter sleeves are my favourite besides long sleeve tops.  I found some tops that are great for disguising my flabby arms.

Rosette Flutter Sleeve Top from Forever 21

Embroidered Gathered Top from Forever 21

These blouses are not only flattering to your arms, they look great when paired with your favorite pair of jeans or slacks.

New Clothes For Chinese New Year

Posted by admin in fashion, women on January 8th, 2012 |  No Comments »

Chinese New Year is barely 2 weeks away.  It is a tradition to don new clothes on the first day of the Chinese New Year.  Well, guess what?  I haven’t got one yet.  I have been so busy since Christmas.  I must really start shopping soon.  My girlfriend was just telling me the same thing.  She has yet to get any new outfit though she has seen a few outfits that she really likes at Forever 21.  They are new arrivals and her picks are :-

Confetti Cut-out Dress

Ombre Colorblock Top

Colorblock Bandage Dress

Bright and colourful eh?  Well, in case you don’t know, red is an auspicious colour.  If you can’t find anything in red, then get the next brightest colour for your outfit.

Smoky Eye Makeup Effect

I saw this step-by-step eye makeup guide at SaiFou.com and thought I’ll share it here.  The steps are easy to follow and result is just awesome.  I hope to try it out soon.  I just love the smoky eye effect and I always thought it is very hard to create it.

Want to give it a try?

My Christmas Gift

I can’t wait to show you what I received for Christmas.   I have been wishing for the Dooney & Bourke ‘Florentine’  Vachetta Leather Bag when I saw it on the catalogue recently.  I fell in love with it immediately.  I guess Santa knows that I have been nice this year and decided to send me this beautiful and elegant leather bag.  It features a fold-over top with whipstitched-detailed handle and an adjustable strap.   It can be worn as a shoulder bag or cross-body.  I have been a fan of D&B for the longest time.  I am so loving my D&B satchel!  Thanks Santa.

Lose 10 Pounds In 3 Days

Posted by admin in health, women on December 28th, 2011 |  No Comments »

Hey Peeps.  How was your Christmas celebration?  I had a wonderful time with families and friends.  It was great to relax and catch up with everyone.  We talked about everything, from holidays, health to equestrian helmets. On top of that, I think I overeat this holiday.  I dread putting on my jeans right now.  I think I better start dieting before New Year’s Eve celebration.  I want to try this 3-Day Diet Weight Loss Plan.

The 3 Day Diet meal plan:

Day 1

Breakfast

Black coffee or tea, with 1-2 packets Sweet & Low or Equal

1/2 grapefruit or juice

1 piece toast with 1 tablespoon peanut butter

Lunch

1/2 cup tuna

1 piece toast

Black coffee or tea, with 1-2 packets Sweet & Low or Equal

Dinner

3 ounces any lean meat or chicken

1 cup green beans

1 cup carrots

1 apple

1 cup regular vanilla ice cream

Day 2

Breakfast

Black coffee or tea, with 1-2 packets Sweet & Low or Equal

1 egg

1/2 banana

1 piece toast

Lunch

1 cup cottage cheese or tuna

8 regular saltine crackers

Dinner

2 beef franks

1 cup broccoli or cabbage

1/2 cup carrots

1/2 banana

1/2 cup regular vanilla ice cream

Day 3

Breakfast

Black coffee or tea, with 1-2 packets Sweet & Low or Equal

5 regular saltine crackers

1 ounce cheddar cheese

1 apple

Lunch

Black coffee or tea, with 1-2 packets Sweet & Low or Equal

1 boiled egg

1 piece toast

Dinner

1 cup tuna

1 cup carrots

1 cup cauliflower

1 cup melon

1/2 cup regular vanilla ice cream

In addition to its strict daily food prescription, dieters drink 4 cups of water or noncaloric drinks daily.

This diet has some kind of magical force and is supposed to create a unique metabolic reaction and boost fat burning.   I cannot wait to lose 10 pounds in 3 days.  Wish me luck.

How To Make Your Eyelashes Long

Posted by admin in beauty on December 22nd, 2011 |  No Comments »

Recently a friend of mine went to get her eyelashes extended.  This eyelash extension system is an ‘instant pretty’ for any woman who wants longer and fuller lashes.  My friend looks really pretty after it was done.  Proper care is needed to ensure that the extensions last longer.  Some may even last up to 100 days.  My friend is really addicted to having her lashes extended that she has signed up for a package deal.  As for me, I would like to give that a try too but after I try on some eyelash growth products.

Stocking Stuffer Ideas

1 more week to Christmas and I still haven’t finished my gift shopping yet. I need to get some Stocking Stuffers too.  I thought I would get something online to avoid the madness at the malls.  Finding a parking space would be highly stressful at this time of the year.   I found a few items which I think would be perfect like the creative stickers for switch plate covers from BaronBob.com below.

ToeSox Half Toe Yoga/Pilates Toe Socks with Grips from Amazon.

Recycled Knit Arm Warmers from UnCommonGoods.com

Reclaimed Holiday Sweater Scarf from UnCommonGoods.com
